Coronavirus (COVID-19) information for
our customers

Safe Baking: We are open for online orders & offering a limited range of cake. As always, we carry out best hygiene practices while baking our cakes & continue to follow the public health guidelines. However due to ongoing issues with supplies of ingredients it may not always be possible to fulfil your order. We will notify customers immediately if this is the case & either offer a full refund or cake alternative.

Contact-less Deliveries: We continue to deliver locally & practice a contact-less doorstep service. This does require that the recipient be available at the time of delivery to take the cakes placed on their doorstep. We will always contact you to arrange a delivery slot. Unfortunately, we are unable to leave orders with neighbours or enter a property including communal areas of apartment buildings & flats.

Easy Payment: We continue to take payment via PayPal’s, Bank card & Electronic Transfer but unfortunately, we cannot accept cash payment at this time.

Terms and Conditions of Sale

Prices

You agree to pay the company the prices quoted on your signed/online order form. All prices exclude VAT. We will inform you if we become VAT eligible.

Bookings & Deposit

If you are ordering over 45 cupcakes or a celebration cake, we ask for a non-refundable deposit of 25%. Once your deposit has been received and cleared your booking date will then be fully secured.

All wedding cake orders require a non-refundable deposit of 50%. This is to ensure that we can start working on your decorations in time and order in any bases, ribbons, boxes etc. This also secures the order so that the hours are booked in the kitchen for making your cupcakes.

Final Payments

Full balance is due 4 weeks prior to the cake delivery date as specified on your order form. On your initial invoice the date and full balance will be included and a reminder for the full amount will be emailed to you no less than 7 days before payment is due. Failure to make payment of the remaining balance may result in your order being cancelled and your date being made available to someone else.

Payment methods accepted are cash, cheque, paypals or electronic transfer.

Cheques are to be made payable to ‘Alexandra Harding’ and sent to our address below. Please allow an additional 5 working days for cheques to be banked and cleared. Please write your name and invoice number on the reverse of the cheque. Paypals, we accept Paypals payment through our website for our online ranges, please refer to paypals terms and conditions.

Electronic Bank Transfer, please make payment to:

HSBC Bank

Account holder: Alexandra Harding

Account number: 41220977

Sort code: 40-44-20

Once a payment has been received an invoice will be sent out to you.

Late or Non Payment

Late or non-payment could result in the loss of your booking date. In the event of a late or non-payment, the order will not proceed until alternative funding has been agreed and payment made in full. In these circumstances, subsequent completion of the order on the required date will not be guaranteed and becomes subject to availability.

Cancellation

Deposits or full payments are unfortunatley non refundable. If, for any reason you wish to re-arrange the date of your event, we will try our best to accommodate these changes without additional charges provided sufficient notice is given and that we are able to provide cake for the rearranged date. However if we are fully booked on your new date and cannot provide the cake, it will not be possible to refund your deposit or full payment.

All cancellations must be made in writing. Verbal phone cancellations will not be binding.

Change in Wedding Date

If, for any reason you wish to re-arrange the date of your wedding, we will try our best to accommodate these changes without additional charges provided sufficient notice is given and that we are able to provide cake for the rearranged wedding date. However if we are fully booked on your new wedding date and cannot provide the wedding cake, it will not be possible to refund your deposit or full payment. As a date compromise, it may be possible to provide you with a cake prior to your wedding date, but under these circumstances it will become your responsibility to collect, deliver and set-up the cake at your venue. If you cancel your wedding cake order with us after requesting a change of date no refund will be made to you (the client) under these circumstances.

Stand Hire

We offer cupcake stand hire to create a stunning cupcake display available from 2-7 tiers. All stands require a deposit, in addition to the hire charges, which is fully refundable on return of the hired stand. Any damages will be deducted from the deposit. In the event that damages are excessive, or a loss has occurred then the deposit will be retained.

Delivery & Collection

On the day of collection, your order may be collected at a pre-arranged time, as agreed on your order form. Should you wish to change collection details we will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee availability.

Deliveries: We will deliver at the time and address agreed with the customer on the invoice. If we can’t deliver because there is no one to receive the product or the address provided is wrong, the product will be returned to our bakery and will be held for 24 hours.

Collections: Collections are free of charge, however once a cake has been collected from our Kitchen we can longer take responsibility for damage during transportation and setup. Please note many designs are delicate and if you are concerned about transporting your order please enquire about our delivery and set-up service.

Delivery & Setting up

We offer a full set-up and delivery service; please enquire regarding cost and availability.

Cakes should be inspected on receipt to ensure that they are not damaged in transit, as you (or any third party taking delivery, e.g. hotel/wedding planner etc.)  shall be solely responsible for any damage to any products which occurs (i) after the delivery or collection for any product and/or (ii) as a result of failure to follow any instructions/ advice we may give in respect of storage or setting up or of further transportation of the cake.

Allergies

Any special recipe requests such as ‘no nuts’ will be met where ever possible. However, whilst your chosen cake will not be made with nuts or a nut product, no absolute nut free guarantees can be guaranteed nut free by the manufactures. Allergy information will be provided with all orders.

Complaints

Complaints are very rare and so we take them very seriously. Some complaints may require further investigation and an immediate refund may not always be possible. Cakes, or part of cakes, must be returned within three days to ensure we are able to fairly assess the nature of the complaint. The maximum refund we offer is the value of the cake and delivery. Further compensation is not available.
